INTRODUCING THE NEW POWERLIFT R SERIES

The new Powerlift R Series forklifts offer those companies that don’t place high demands on forklifts with a great value option.

Manufactured by the Hangcha Group, who also manufactures the highly popular Powerlift HC Series, the R series is available in 1.8t and 2.5t gas models. The 1.8t will be offered to the Australian market for under $16,000.

While it offers great value, it has not come from cutting any quality and performance corners. To start with, the engine is supplied by Nissan so owners can be comforted by the famous Nissan reliability. Adding to this peace-of-mind is the 2 year/2000 warranty offered by Powerlift.

Operator comfort features are comparable with any of the leading brands. It employs advanced vibration reduction technologies, including floating operator compartment and a unique vibration reduction system for the steering axle. Steering wheel force has been reduced to 6-8N which is a 50% improvement from previous models.

INDEPENDENT REVIEW - By Supply Chain Review

Hangcha hasn’t tried to reinvent
the wheel. The 1.8 and 2.5 tonne LPG units from its XF range are practical
and affordable.

These days it’s hard to imagine a supply chain without the existence of the humble forklift. We tend to take transport innovations, like forklifts, pallets, and shipping containers for granted. When the likes of Yale and Clark first started building forklifts in the 1920s, who could have foreseen that the forklift truck would become the essential tool for manufacturing and industry it has become in 2012.

A current model 2.5 tonne forklift represents a significant outlay for a business, however technology has advanced to the point where both electric and IC (internal combustion) forklifts are capable of working double shifts around the clock, earning their keep. But what of the small to medium size business? It’s hard to justify an outlay in the vicinity of $30,000 on one or two new machines that, while indispensable, may only be used for a few hours a day. These small and medium-sized businesses are often quite happy to do without features like fuel injection, Electronic Control Modules (ECMs), or suites of other gadgets to monitor both machine and driver efficiency. And it’s this part of the market that Powerlift Material Handling is aiming its range of HC Counter Balance forklifts.

POWERLIFT HC RANGE FEATURE

Hangcha began manufacturing forklifts in 1974. They have a range of models across varying price points, with their top-spec series equal to any in terms of quality, equipment and sophistication.

Hangcha is so fixated on quality that it has held ISO 9001 Quality Management Certification since 1995 and ISO 14001 Environmental Management Certification since 2002.

This commitment to quality is also reflected in Hangcha’s chosen component suppliers. Chassis are made of steel
produced from Australian iron ore and power comes
from Japan in the form of Nissan engines.

Impressively, Hangcha’s factory complex comprises more than 60 acres of buildings with five forklift assembly lines; multiple testing, painting, axle, mast and finishing lines and a workforce exceeding 2500.
